Vibration Therapy Forum

Benefits, Constrains and Risks

Vibration therapy is a physical therapy that utilizes vibration stimulation to enhance the effectiveness. Such a mechanical stimulation has a unique pattern and may serve as an innovative treatment intervention to attain certain results that are not achievable through traditional physical therapy and mainstream medicine.

Through inducing rapidly repeated skeletal muscle contractions, vibration activates and exercises our muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Muscle contractions also create a skeletal muscle pump effect, facilitating the distribution and relay of blood and lymph.

In other words, vibration intervention influences our three body systems: 1) musculoskeletal system, 2) neuromuscular system, and 3) peripheral circulation system.
